This Summer Class is designed to strengthen the Mom-Teen/ Adult-Teen relationship, while helping teen girls learn some important lessons about the most important job they will ever have.
Moms, Foster Moms or Grandmothers raising teen girls will learn a trick or two, as well. There will be an emphasis on early childhood AND the developmental needs of teens. This is not a “sex-education” class. Moms may attend w/out their daughters - as space permits, priority given to mom/caregiver-teen dyads; and daughters may attend w/out their moms. Open to Teen girls, ages12 and up.
Call to register. 757-385-0822 or 244-5373.
Positive Discipline, a curriculum developed by Dr. Jane Nelsen and Lynn Lott, helps parents uncover the mistaken goals of misbehavior, and emphasizes the need for children to feel connected to the adults who care for them.
