Saturday, September 18, 2010, the Peninsula Community Foundation is proud to present the inaugural Best Foot Forward 8K Race at the Mariners' Museum in Newport News Virginia! Ferguson Enterprises is generously supporting the community-wide fundraiser as Title Sponsor. In support of Newport News CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) we are asking all registrants to select CASA as the recipient of their registration. The race itself will use chip-timing with the Kale Running "D-Tag" system on a certified 8K course. Runners and walkers of all levels, as well as wheelchair athletes, are encouraged to participate for the benefit of their favorite local charity. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged before September 3, 2010, to obtain the $35 rate. After September 3 fees will be $40, and event-day registrants will pay $45 up to one hour prior to race start.
